Monica is the Chief Financial Officer for KWP Real Estate, overseeing all aspects of corporate accounting and property accounting consisting of commercial, office, retail, industrial, facilities, residential property and lease administration.
The accounting team she supervises includes the controller, accountants, and an analyst as well as A/P and A/R specialists. Monica is directly responsible for the company and each divisional location’s day-to-day financial operations. She works closely with the accounting and operations teams to ensure standard operating procedures are maintained, including system implementations and special projects. Monica was hired in February of 2009 as a Regional Controller.
Monica has over 30 years of experience in real estate accounting. Prior to joining KWP, she was a Regional Controller for a public home builder overseeing three divisional offices for four years, Controller for a public REIT responsible for operations for five years, the last two years as the Development Controller and an Assistant Controller for a California property management company for eight years.
